Scarlett Johansson, 36, is pregnant with her second child, Page Six reports citing sources close to the actress. The father of the baby will be her husband Colin Jost, a 39-year-old comedian from Saturday Night Live. For the couple, it will be their first child together. Johansson is already raising a 6-year-old daughter, Rose, from French journalist Romain Doriak, with whom she was married from 2014 to 2017.
Insiders note that Scarlett is expected to publicly announce the pregnancy very soon. The parents-to-be are very excited about the impending addition to the family, they are over the moon,” the source said.
Another Page Six source added: “Scarlett is pregnant but is keeping it a secret. She’s being very discreet.”
Rumors of Johansson’s pregnancy surfaced in June, when the actress missed several events as part of a promotional campaign for the upcoming Marvel film “Black Widow.”
The source explained, “She didn’t do many interviews or attend events to promote ‘Black Widow,’ which is surprising since this is a huge release for Marvel and she is both the lead actress and executive producer.”
In June, Scarlett Johansson appeared in several commercials, which were probably filmed long before the signs of pregnancy, and also attended the Jimmy Fallon late-night show on June 21 – though she was shown in Zoom up to her shoulders.
Recall that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost began dating in 2017. In May, they were spotted kissing, and in December they went out together publicly for the first time. In May 2019, Colin proposed to Scarlett, presenting a ring with a stunning light-brown diamond of 11 carats (the value of the jewelry is estimated at 450 thousand dollars). Although their wedding plans were scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic, they still decided to have a modest ceremony in October 2020 at the actress’ home in Palisades, New York.
