The useful ingredients in chocolate have a beneficial effect on cholesterol levels and reduce inflammation. It is noteworthy that chocolate normalises cholesterol, but does not increase its content above the norm.
Scientists have checked the data of over 300 thousand people. As a result, it turned out that dessert reduces the risk of heart disease by 8% if you eat it at least once a week. According to them, the chocolate contains flavonoids, polyphenols, methylxanthins and stearic acid, which reduce inflammation and increase good cholesterol levels.
Chocolate is also good for the immune system and brain activity, at least as indicated in the 2018 pilot study.
