American serial killer Lonnie Franklin died in San Quentin prison in California at the age of 67. This was reported on Sunday, March 29, by the agency Associated Press.
Franklin’s body was found in a cell on Saturday without any injuries. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Franklin also is known as Grim Sleeper was sentenced to death in 2016 for the murder of 10 people. His victims were women, including a teenage girl, and he was primarily active in Los Angeles. He got his nickname because he stopped killing between 1988 and 2002. In all, according to the police, Franklin could have had over 25 victims.
According to the agency, no one has been executed in California since 2006, so prisoners have a better chance of dying of old age than being executed.
