Authorities said several people were killed when a small plane crashed in northern Florida on Wednesday. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Clay County Fire Department responded to the crash in Middleburg, about 50 kilometers from Jacksonville.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that several people were killed. According to the agency, the crash site is in a wooded area. The FAA sent a statement to First Coast News, Jacksonville’s NBC affiliate.
“A single-engine aircraft crashed shortly after taking off in a wooded area near Spencer Airfield in Middleburg, Florida, around 9 a.m. local time today,” the FAA told the television station. – There were three people on board.”
