Six people were killed in the crash of a Mexican Air Force plane

Mexican Air Force jet Learjet passenger plane crashed in the state of Veracruz in the east of the country, killing six people. This was reported by the newspaper Universal on February 21.

The incident occurred about 09:45 local time at El Lencero airport in the municipality of Emiliano Zapata. The plane flew off the runway and almost immediately caught fire.

Initially, local media had reported seven deaths, but the Mexican Defense Ministry said that six people were victims of the crash.

Earlier on Sunday, a Nigerian Air Force King Air 350 crashed in Abuja. Seven people died as a result of the accident.
