Senior Special Forces Sergeant Andrew Christian Marquesano, known by his nickname Captain America, killed himself at the age of 34, according to July 11 FoxNews.
The acquaintances and colleagues compared Marquesano with a superhero, as he has been in Afghanistan six times and as much in other hotspots. He received several awards for his service, including a green beret and the Silver Star Medal. He recently returned to the United States and was planning to start working at the Pentagon.
According to his family, the military was unable to cope with his psychological trauma. On July 6, he killed himself in front of his wife. He still has three children left.
This suicide was the 13th among the men in the 2-508 Battalion.
