Suspect in the attack on people outside the former Charlie Hebdo building in Paris detained

The suspect in the attack with a machete on people near the former building of Charlie Hebdo in Paris was detained in the Place de la Bastille. It was reported on Friday, September 25, by BFMTV channel.

The attack took place earlier that day in the street Nicolas-Apper in the 11th arrondissement of French Paris. Four people were injured as a result of the incident. Two of them are in serious condition, Prime Minister Jean Castex reported.

According to the TV channel, two employees of First Lines news agency were injured. Earlier it was reported that one of the injured was an employee of the production company Première Lines.

The reasons of the incident have not been found out yet. In the Elysian Palace, the TV channel said that the President of the Republic Emmanuelle Macron was monitoring the situation.
