Suspect of shooting a police officer was detained in New Mexico

U.S. law enforcement reported the detention on Sunday, September 13, of a suspect in the shooting of a police officer in New Mexico.

It is noted that a police officer was fired upon during an unprovoked attack and sustained minor injuries.

“The suspect was not injured and was detained,” state police Twitter reported.

The police published a photo of the suspect. The suspect is a white male named Robert Benjamin Nelson.

Earlier that day, two Los Angeles County police officers received multiple gunshot wounds in an attack, both in critical condition and are undergoing operations.
