Swiss authorities are preparing the population for an energy collapse

The Swiss authorities are preparing the population for a blackout. The issue of energy security has become more acute in the country. Experts fear a collapse in the energy sector in the coming winter. Even a small breakdown at power plants will cause shortages.

Switzerland does not have access to the EU electricity market and, accordingly, cannot buy capacity from its neighbors. The authorities have developed instructions in case of emergencies. If there is a shortage of electricity, residents will be asked to save money.

The country has also developed a plan to create a network of mini-electric power plants. The authorities plan to buy 2 thousand generators on gas. However, the strategy is to be implemented until 2050.
