Tedros Gebrejesus receives threats due to coronavirus

Tedros Ghebreyesus , Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), spoke on 8 April about the threats to his work against the coronavirus. This was reported by CNBC.

“I can tell about personal threats that I receive within 2-3 months. This is a cruel or racist name calling to me, I am called black or black,” said Gebrejesus, noting that sometimes he even receives death threats.

However, he stressed that he does not pay attention to such things.

Earlier, on 7 April, US President Donald Trump criticized WHO for focusing on China during the pandemic. According to the American leader, the organization pays too much attention to China, despite the fact that it is funded mainly by the United States.
