After a long illness, the famous tennis player Ashley Cooper died. He was 83 years old, reports Reuters on Friday, May 22.
The exact cause of death is not named.
Cooper twice became the owners of the Davis Cup in the national team of Australia. In addition, he is an eight-time Grand Slam winner in singles and men’s doubles.
Since 1987, he has been a member of the Australian Sports Hall of Fame and, in 1991, the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
