President Donald Trump said on Saturday that Texas and Vermont states will allow certain categories of businesses to resume operations on Monday while continuing to follow previous precautions to prevent an increase in infections. The head of state said this at a press briefing of the White House Coronavirus Working Group.
Trump added that authorities in Montana will begin gradually lifting the restrictions on Friday, April 24.
“We still see some positive signals that the virus has passed its peak,” Trump said during the briefing.
At the same time, a number of governors have warned that they will not prematurely decide to open their state economies before further testing is carried out.
