Actress Sabina Tozia, who played the nurse of Sultan Suleiman in the popular historical series “The Magnificent Century”, died at 76. This was announced Wednesday, August 11, by her colleague in the film, Meryem Uzerli, who played the role of Hürrem the Sultan.
“I love you so much. We have worked together on three amazing projects: “The Magnificent Century,” “The Mother’s Wound” and “The Mafia Can’t Rule the World.” Yesterday you were gone. My heart is breaking,” Uzerli wrote in a post on her Instagram.
The exact cause of Tosya’s death has not yet been reported. At the same time, the Turkish edition of Cumhuriyet specifies that in early 2021, the artist was diagnosed with a brain tumor, due to which she suffered a stroke. She had a successful surgery.
Sabina Tozia was born April 17, 1946 in Skopje in Yugoslavia. At the moment this territory belongs to Northern Macedonia. She studied acting at the Skopje State Theatre. The last project in which Tozia took part was the TV series “The Mafia Can’t Rule the World”. She left it due to health problems.
