The Ukrainian military shelled the Volvo Center district in the north of Donetsk. It was fired from small arms from the Sands village. This was reported on Sunday, September 6, by the Donetsk News Agency with reference to the DNR office in the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination.
The village of Krasny Partizan near Yasinovataya also came under fire. The settlement was attacked by an automatic machine-gun grenade launcher. In total, one grenade was fired.
Since 2014, Ukraine has been conducting a military operation against Donbass, whose residents refused to recognize the results of the state revolution and the new government in Kiev. Conflict resolution issues are discussed in the Minsk format and at meetings of the ‘Norman Quartet’.
Russia, France and Germany have repeatedly noted that the basis of peace offensive in the south-east of Ukraine is the implementation of the Minsk agreements. Kiev has recently repeatedly stated that the agreements are outdated and need to be revised.
Since July 27, additional measures to ensure the truce came into force in Donbass. They imply a complete ban on firing, the deployment of weapons in and around populated areas, offensive and intelligence-sabotage operations. Since then, the parties to the conflict have accused each other of violating the ceasefire more than once.
