In Bucharest, a banner fell on a Romanian journalist during a live broadcast, touching also the trophy of the European Football Championship, which almost broke during the fall.
While the journalist was talking about the event, a strong wind knocked down the banner, causing the trophy to fall. The woman and the trophy were not injured. Video of the incident was published on Twitter by journalist Emanuel Rochu.
The trophy was delivered to Bucharest as part of the Trophy Tour. It was on display at the National Arena.
“The trophy was to remain for a few more hours in Bucharest and later today to go to the studio of the official Euro broadcaster,” Rosu wrote, adding that as a result of the incident, UEFA asked that the trophy be delivered to Budapest on the afternoon of April 26.
