The first vaccination against coronavirus infection was conducted in Kazakhstan on Saturday, August 1. This was reported by the Kazakh news portal Khabar 24.

The vaccination was given to Kaisar Tabynov, director of the International Centre for Vaccines. Vaccine COVAX-19 is developed in Australia and passes the first phase of clinical trials.

According to Worlometer, 90,367 cases of coronavirus infection were detected during the whole period of the epidemic. More than 60 thousand people have recovered, 793 people have died.
