A comment on the photo posted on Twitter on May 1 was signed as a historic moment for the Pentagon.
On April 1, it became known that transgender people could once again join the U.S. military. Back in 2016, United States President Barack Obama allowed transgender people to openly enlist in the military and receive necessary medical care, but the next president, Donald Trump, reversed the decision in July 2017.
