The head of the European Commission urged to introduce new sanctions against Belarus

Head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on Friday, August 14, called for new sanctions against Belarus. She wrote about it on her Twitter.

“We must introduce additional sanctions against those who have violated democratic values or human rights in Belarus. I am confident that today’s negotiations of the EU foreign ministers will demonstrate our support for the rights of people in Belarus to fundamental freedoms and democracy,” said von der Leyen.
