American artist David Datuna presented a new work – a picture with an icon depicting U.S. President Donald Trump with an empty book in his hands. The image was installed on Monday, October 26, on the wall of St. Thomas Church in New York.
“The work demonstrates the duality of reality and puts it in the foreground. Today’s reality is extraordinary: we have a self-proclaimed saint who preaches “nothing”, dragging us deeper and deeper into his selfish emptiness of the golden calf every day. It’s time to turn this page,” the artist is quoted as saying.
Datuna is considered a master of modern art. At the end of last year he staged a performance “Hungry Artist” – he ate an art object of a shocking Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan in the Perrotin Gallery in Miami, which is a banana glued to the wall with duct tape and sold for $120 thousand.
General elections will be held in the USA on November 3. They will elect the president and vice president, all 435 members of the House of Representatives and one third of the Senate of Congress, governors of 13 states and territories.
Earlier Monday Trump once again laughed at his rival in the upcoming elections, the candidate from the Democratic Party Joe Biden.
