The number of detected COVID-19 cases in the world has exceeded 30 million

More than 30 million cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the world. This follows from data from Johns Hopkins University in the United States, published on Friday, September 18.

As of 02:30 the number of detected cases of COVID-19 increased to 30,003,378, 943,203 people died as a result of the disease, and more than 20.3 million patients recovered.

The United States continues to be the leader in the number of cases. More than 6.66 million infections have been reported in the country. India is in the second place (5 118 253) and Brazil is in the third place (4 419 083).

On September 16 UN Secretary General António Guterres said that the situation with the spread of coronavirus is currently the main threat to security in the world.

According to him, the COVID-19 pandemic is getting out of control.
