Donations for the reconstruction of Notre Dame were spent in a non-targeted way. This statement was made by representatives of the French Court of Accounts.
During the inspection it turned out that the Ministry of Culture has spent about € 500 thousand. The Office manages the construction work in the Cathedral. It turned out that most of the money was spent on projects that were not even considered. The ministry also spent the money on fabulous salaries and bonuses to employees.
Now members of the Accounts Chamber are trying to find out how much money is left for reconstruction. It is known that for this purpose, the relevant department received €850 million.
