The train went off the rails in Scotland near Stonehaven. This was reported by the UK Transport Police on Twitter on Wednesday, August 12.

It is noted that those who arrived at the scene of the emergency at 9:34 local time, as well as health workers and fire department are still there.

According to the LBC radio station, there was a fire after the crash. It is noted that at least one person died.

ScotRail and Network Rail Scotland said they are “helping emergency services with the incident near Stonehaven and will provide more information when it becomes available”.

After the crash, there was a fire. The video from the scene of the crash shows clubs of blue smoke coming off the train. There are dozens of emergency vehicles standing next to the crash site.
