The U.S. has accused DPRK hackers of stealing funds from banks in several countries

Hackers from the DPRK are hacking into the computer networks of banks around the world to steal money from their customers’ accounts, as well as to force ATMs to issue all cash bills they have. This is reported in a joint statement by U.S. government agencies, including the Ministry of Finance and the FBI.

The U.S. side claims that in February 2020 North Korea again began to conduct attacks on banks in a number of countries “in order to conduct fraudulent international money transfers and cashing through ATMs”.
