The White House was decorated in patriotic style for Christmas. First Lady of the USA Melania Trump showed his halls, photos and videos were posted in her microblog on Twitter on November 30.

The published footage shows the halls and rooms of the American president’s residence decorated with fir trees and festive decorations in red, gold and blue.

“This weekend, volunteers from all over America came to decorate the White House. Thank you for your time, enthusiasm, and dedication so that the spirit of peace and joy can fill the historic rooms and halls of the people’s home,” she wrote on the social network.

Volunteers from all over the country took part in decorating the White House. In total, more than 60 Christmas trees were installed on the territory of the White House, and garlands were hung, the total length of which is about 400 meters.

Melania Trump noted that this year’s theme, “Beautiful America,” is “to pay tribute to the greatness of our great nation”.

The main Christmas tree, brought from the state of West Virginia, is placed in the Blue Room of the White House – it was presented by the First Lady, winner of the national competition of Christmas trees farmer Dan Taylor, according to the White House website.

Catholics, Protestants and followers of many Orthodox churches around the world celebrate Christmas on the night of December 25.
