There was a fire on a Russian trawler in South Korea

A fire broke out on the Russian trawler General Troshev in South Korea’s port of Pusan. This was reported on Friday, October 15, by the press service of the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor’s Office.

It is noted that the fire started during welding operations performed by South Korean workers. The ship was in the port of Pusan for scheduled repairs.

The fire area amounted to 21 sq. m.

At the moment, Nakhodka transport prosecutor’s office is checking compliance with fire safety requirements on the vessel. It is reported that the crew handled the fire themselves.
