U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence had a “good conversation” on Monday, January 11, amid calls for Pence to remove Trump from power. This was reported by Reuters, citing a senior U.S. administration official.

According to the agency’s interlocutor, the politicians “pledged to continue working for the country for the remainder of their term.” It is noted that this could be seen as a hint that Pence is not going to give in to congressional demands that he try to remove Trump from office.

This is the first meeting between Trump and Pence since January 6 , when there was unrest in Washington. NBC News previously reported, citing sources, that Trump and Pence have not spoken to each other since then.
