Trump and Putin discussed the situation at the oil market by telephone on April 10

Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump discussed the situation on the global oil market during a telephone conversation. This was reported by the Kremlin press service on April 10.

The conversation between the two leaders was initiated by the American side.

“An exchange of opinions was held on the situation on the global oil market, including the agreement on the reduction of production in order to stabilize world oil prices, which is being worked out within the framework of OPEC+. Trump informed about his contacts with the leaders of a number of oil-producing countries,” the report says.

The Presidents agreed to continue consultations on this topic, as well as touched upon current aspects of bilateral relations, including cooperation in space.

The sides also discussed the Coronavirus pandemic and assessed the measures taken by both countries to combat the spread of infection.
