U.S. President Donald Trump said that his former national security adviser, John Bolton, was behind bars because of the disclosure of classified information in his book “The room where it happened: White House memoirs”. The American leader wrote about it on his Twitter June 23.
“John Bolton is a lowlife who should be in prison, and his money has been confiscated for distribution for the sake of making a profit of top secret information,” Trump said.
The day before, the president of the United States had indicated that Bolton was a highly incompetent man and a liar.
On June 17, Trump said Bolton’s memoirs were made up of lies, and their author was a fool who wanted to make war. He added that Bolton never understood anything, was ostracized and was gladly fired by him.
Bolton’s book “The Room Where It Happened: Memoirs from the White House” was published on June 23. Its publication was repeatedly postponed due to statements of the White House about the presence of secret data in it, as well as demands to remove insults to Trump.
On June 20th , the court allowed the book to be published despite the objections of the White House. Shops in the country have already received 200 thousand copies.
