The U.S. federal government must demand the death penalty again for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s involvement in the Boston Marathon terrorist attack. Donald Trump, head of the White House, wrote about this on his Twitter page on Sunday, August 2.
According to the president, rarely would anyone deserve the death penalty more than “Boston terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Trump said the court agreed that “it was one of the worst terrorist attacks in the country since the September 11 atrocities,” but overturned the death sentence.
The U.S. leader believes that the federal government should again demand the death penalty for Tsarnaev as part of a retrial. He is confident that the United States “cannot afford” to have the appeal court’s decision upheld.
On July 31, the appellate court overturned Johar Tsarnaev’s death sentence for the attack on the Boston Marathon on five counts.
