Trump has significantly narrowed the gap with Biden among voters

The current president of the USA Donald Trump for the last several months has considerably reduced a gap on popularity among voters from the most probable rival in elections of the head of the state from Democratic party Joseph Biden. This was reported by CNN TV company with reference to the conducted poll.

The survey was conducted from August 12 to 15 by the SSRS service. Respondents were asked what kind of policy they would support in the elections, if they were held right now. In total, the survey was attended by more than 1,000 people across the United States.

As a result, more than 50% said they would support Biden, about 46% wanted to vote for Trump, and only 1% of respondents wanted to vote for another candidate. Besides, 2% admitted that they would not like to support any of the politicians, while the rest could not give an answer.

At the moment, in 15 American states, which are the most important in terms of the outcome of the elections, Biden’s rating is on average 49% and Trump’s rating is 48%. According to the survey results, 55% of respondents were ready to vote for Biden and 41% – for Trump in the period from June 2 to 5.

National Congress of the Democratic Party of the United States, where Biden is to be named a candidate for the highest state post, will be held August 17-20 in Milwaukee (Wisconsin). The US presidential election is scheduled for November 3. The candidate from Republicans will be the current American leader Donald Trump.
