Trump outlined that American specialists are ahead of schedule in developing a vaccine against COVID-19

President Trump spoke on Tuesday about the success of American specialists in developing a vaccine against coronavirus infection.

The U.S. leader said that the development of vaccines against COVID-19 is in the “first and second phases” and in his opinion, the work is ahead of schedule. He also noted that after the vaccine is created, the U.S. military will be involved in its distribution in the country.

Earlier, on May 18, the American biotechnology company Moderna announced the completion of the first phase of clinical trials of the coronavirus vaccine. Testing of the drug on a group of volunteers began in April. In the initial phase, the vaccine proved to be safe, it is tolerated without complications. The company plans that the final phase of the trial will begin in July.
