Trump, Putin and the King of Saudi Arabia supported OPEC+

U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and King Salman Ben Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia during a phone call on Sunday, April 12, supported the OPEC+ agreement to phase out voluntary restrictions on oil production. This agreement comes into effect.

It is also noted that the Russian leader after a conversation with Trump and Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud had a separate telephone conversation with the American president. The conversation focused on current issues of strategic security, as well as the situation on oil markets.

Putin also congratulated Trump and American Christians on Easter.

Earlier on Sunday it became known that OPEC+ countries reached a final agreement to reduce oil production by 9.7 mn barrels per day in May and June.

According to the Iranian Oil Ministry, the new deal involves all 23 countries. Mexico confirmed that it is participating in the OPEC+ deal and that the country will reduce production by 100 thousand barrels per day in May and June.
