On March 30, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the importance of negotiations with Russia.
“I can’t say this relationship (between Russia and the U.S.) is flawless, but we should discuss it.”
Trump noted that during World War II, Moscow and Washington were allies, and the USSR lost “50 million people” in those years, fighting with Germany. At the same time, the U.S. is currently talking not with Moscow but with Berlin, he added.
Earlier Monday, Trump said he would hold a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Oil is expected to be one of the key topics in these talks. In addition, the parties are going to discuss energy, trade and the situation with the coronavirus.
