Trump will attend the launch of Crew Dragon in person

President Donald Trump will be present Wednesday at the launch of SpaceX’s manned Crew Dragon spacecraft for the International Space Station (ISS).

“Trump will personally visit the launch of the spacecraft company SpaceX, which will be held in Florida on May 27,” – confirmed in the White House. Addressing them, he joked: “I would like to put you on a rocket and get rid of you for a while”

The launch of the ship with astronauts Douglas Harley and Robert Benken on board is scheduled for May 27 at 16:32 U.S. East Coast time. The Crew Dragon is a modification of the Dragon cargo ship, which is already delivering cargo to the ISS. The ship was automatically delivered to the station using a Falcon-9 carrier rocket on March 2 and docked the next day.
