The number of people infected with coronavirus in Turkey continues to grow slightly in one day. This is evidenced by the data provided by Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koja on August 7.

“The number of new patients continues to grow. The number of recovering patients, as yesterday, is less than the number of new patients,” Koja wrote on Twitter.

He also said that citizens must be vigilant until new cases of coronavirus infection can be reduced.

According to the heads of the Turkish Ministry of Health, 56,726 tests have been carried out in the last 24 hours – the number of tests is increasing and 1185 cases of COVID-19 have been detected. The total number of deaths is 5813 (15 of them in the last 24 hours). He noted that 221,574 people have recovered, 1028 of them during the past day.

On August 5, Head of the Turkish Health Ministry Fahrettin Koja said that after the opening of borders with Russia, the number of detected cases of COVID-19 at Turkish resorts increased dramatically. According to him, Turkey should make efforts to prevent an increase in the number of infected people.
