Two people injured in a shooting in downtown Washington

A shooting occurred in downtown Washington, D.C., injuring at least two people, BNO News reported July 22.

“One was shot in the arm and the other in the chest. Both are conscious and breathing. They are expected to survive,” the journalists’ report said.

The incident occurred earlier Thursday at about 8:15 p.m. near a restaurant on 14th Street.

Eyewitnesses reported 20 to 30 shots fired from a passing black car that fled the scene.

Police have issued a manhunt for the car.
