U.S. claims threat to national security after documents go missing from Capitol

Acting federal prosecutor in Washington Michael Sherwin has expressed concern for the country’s national security after documents were stolen from the Capitol, Reuters reported Jan. 7.

He said working electronic devices were stolen from senators’ offices during the riots.

“Materials were stolen, we need to determine what was done, minimize [the damage], it could be national security documents,” Sherwin said

He noted that authorities do not know the extent of the damage from this point of view.

Equally interesting is what other information can be found on these devices.
