An American military helicopter crashed near the village of Tal Haddad, located in the Al-Yarubiyah district in the Syrian province of Hasakah. This was reported on Tuesday, September 15, Sana News Agency reported on its Twitter.

At present, the crash site is surrounded by American armored vehicles. The agency did not give any details of what happened.

The U.S. military has been in Syria since 2012 without permission from official Damascus and without UN sanction. Currently, U.S. forces are concentrated in the provinces of Haseke and Deir ez Zor, near major oil fields.

At the end of August, a group of Saudi servicemen arrived in the province of Haseke, which was at the base of the international coalition forces led by the United States north of Iraqi Baghdad. Damascus did not comment on that information.
