US created test to detect coronavirus before the first symptoms

The U.S. military has created a test that can detect coronavirus even before the disease becomes contagious to others. This was written by The Guardian on May 1.

Developers from the Pentagon’s Office of Advanced Research Projects (DARPA) expect the tests to show the presence of coronavirus in the human body after 24 hours from infection, that is, until the incubation period and the manifestation of symptoms.

This is about four days earlier than the tests already in use in the world can detect the disease.

“The development will fill the global diagnostic gap (COVID-19),” said Brad Ringaizen, head of the DARPA Biotechnology Laboratory.

Now the military is waiting for permission from the sanitary inspectorate to apply the test.
