Vaccinated against coronavirus tourists will be able to fly to Cyprus from May 10

Cypriot authorities have decided on May 10 to let in foreign tourists from 65 countries vaccinated against COVID-19, including Russian product “Sputnik V”, without negative tests and quarantine. This was announced by Tourism Minister Savvas Perdios, the Cyprus Mail newspaper reported.

“Fully vaccinated people from 65 countries will be able to come to Cyprus from May 10 without COVID-19 tests and without quarantine compliance, even if they had close contact with an infected person,” the minister said. Tourists from EU member states, the European Economic Area, as well as Switzerland, Armenia, Bahrain, Belarus, Canada, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Ukraine, UAE, UK and USA will be allowed entry.

Savvas Perdios explained that tourists will only have to present a vaccination certificate when entering the country. A negative test for coronavirus infection will not be required. He added that foreign travelers will have to upload their certificate to the Cyprus Flight Pass website and fill out a special form before travelling.

According to the minister of tourism, by the end of May there will be a clearer picture of understanding how the situation with coronavirus infection is developing in the country and in the world.
