Vaccine AstraZeneca has been renamed Vaxzevria

The coronavirus vaccine from the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has been renamed Vaxzevria. The Agency for Medical Products of Sweden noted that only the name of the drug is changed. Packaging and labeling of the drug might look different.

The agency stressed that specialists should be aware of the renaming. The decision was taken against the background of the manifestation of complications from the vaccine. Several countries have suspended the use of the drug.
