In three years the Swedish brand will release a new flagship crossover, which will compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and BMW X6.
Volvo is developing a new flagship crossover, which will be called XC100 Recharge. This is reported by Motor Trend publishing house with reference to its own source. The premiere of Volvo XC100 Recharge will be held in 2023 – one or two years after the premiere of the third generation model XC90. The novelty will be built on a significantly modernized platform SPA, which provides for the use of both hybrid and electric power units.
According to preliminary data, it will be a large crossover with a coupe silhouette, which will compete with, for example, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, BMW X6 and Audi Q8. At the same time, the Volvo XC100 Recharge will be available with an exclusively “green” power unit with two electric motors – on the front and rear axles.
