Warner Bros. has begun work on a Superman movie, according to a report in Deadline. Bad Robot will be directed by J.J. Abrams and the script will be written by Ta-Nahashi Coates, the co-author of the comics about Black Panther.

The picture could be a reboot of the Kryptonian story. And this time they may take a dark-skinned actor for the lead role, as confirmed by THR. The concept was first discussed back in 2019, when Michael B. Jordan was considered for the key role, but negotiations went nowhere. It is possible that Warner Bros. will revisit his candidacy.

Web users have reacted differently to this news. Some are quite optimistic, while others see only one worthy candidate for the role of Superman, and it is Henry Cavill.
