WHO announced a timeline to begin vaccinating against coronavirus

Vaccination against COVID-19 will not begin until 2021, said Michael Ryan, Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Health Emergency Programme.

According to him, it is necessary to be realistic about the terms of receiving the drug.

“With a realistic scenario, people will not start getting the vaccine until the first half of next year,” Ryan was quoted as saying.

At the same time, he noted that WHO intends to seek universal access to the drug, because “the vaccines are not for the rich, not for the poor, they are for everyone.
