WHO announced slowdown of coronavirus spread in Europe

Cautious optimism is instilled by data from European countries. This was reported at a briefing in Geneva by WHO head Tedros Adan Gebrejesus.

“Over the past week we have been pleased to see a slowdown in some of the most severely affected countries in Europe, such as Spain, Italy, Germany and France,” said Gebrejesus.

The WHO leader, however, warned of the virus spreading to other countries – particularly rural Africa.
