The Americas region has the highest number of people infected with 8,385,810, according to the interactive map. Within a day, the number had increased by 93,499. The number of deaths increased by 2,890 to 332,589.

In Europe, 3,216,335 people were identified as infected and 210,261 as deceased. In 24 hours, the number of infected people increased by 20,287 and 311 died.

Southeast Asia ranks third in the number of those infected worldwide. There, 1 732 248 people were infected and 39 786 patients died.

Earlier in July, WHO head Tedros Adan Gebrejesus stated that there are four main scenarios of coronavirus infection on the planet. In his opinion, many states have gone in the wrong direction in the fight against coronavirus infection. Which countries had chosen the wrong strategy, he did not specify.
