Woman died due to a crane crash on residential buildings in London

In East London, a construction crane fell on residential buildings, killing one person and injuring four others. This was reported by The Guardian on July 8.

The incident occurred earlier that day at around 14:39 local time.

“A 20-meter crane involved in the construction of an apartment building collapsed on two houses with terraces on Compton Close. Unfortunately, one woman died on the spot,” said Assistant Commissioner Graham Ellis of the London Fire Brigade.

According to the newspaper, firefighters found the victim on the ground floor during a rescue operation.

Also according to the London ambulance service, two people were taken to a local hospital with head injuries and two others were treated on the scene.
